In a surprising partnership that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret cult.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
